Classroom Policy

教室使用規則

因教室租借不易，希望各老師使用教室時嚴格遵守下列原則:

    1. 教室內之佈置切勿撕毀或取走。

    2. 黑板使用後保持原狀，有"SAVE"標誌時，請保留該部份。

    3. 請勿搬動桌椅，若有需要，課後請務必復原。

    4. 請督導學生勿於教室內吃糖果或飲料 (特別是口香糖) 。若有活動需要，請老師負責清理 (勿把糖果或飲料丟在教室內的垃圾桶) 。

    5. 各班輪值家長於課前應巡視教室並填寫教室檢查表。課後，各老師須依教室檢查表再行巡視教室一遍,確定一切妥善, 並於檢查表上簽名。教室檢查表,需交回校方辦公室. 離開教室時，請將電燈關掉，關上大門。如發現學生遺物，請老師收取於下週交還學生。

    6. 任何時候發現有異狀時，請立刻通知辦公室總務或校長，以便處理。

    7. 如逢雨天，課外活動若需用教室，請老師於 10:45AM 前通知辦公室總務或校長。

    8. 學生若有破壞Homestead High 任何設施/設備或曰新中文學校校產, 該學生的家長將承擔全部賠償責任。

** 各班老師將在第一堂上課時對學生們宣佈教室規則，如有任何違規事 件，將依下列規定處理:

    1. 第一次觸犯校規者，得給予口頭警告，並作記錄 ( 警告一次 )。

    2. 第二次觸犯校規者，取消休息時間，並作記錄 ( 警告兩次 )。

    3. 第三次觸犯校規者，老師書面通知家長。如有必要，家長可和校方面談或約談。

    4. 校方有權開除任何不守紀律的學生。

教室規則

    1. 每堂課結束，所有的課室桌椅必須還原。

    2. 對老師、家長、同學及工作人員應予尊重。

    3. 教室須保持整潔。

    4. 遵守老師的指示。 上課時不可以在教室內使用手機, IPOD, MP3等等。

    5. 在校內任何時候都不可以有以下的行為:

        • 丟紙屑

        • 嚼口香糖

        • 在教室內或走廊上奔跑追逐

        • 從教室裡拿走或移動任何物品

        • 把樓梯扶手當溜滑梯

        • 亂踢鐵絲網或在鐵絲網上爬上爬下

        • 其它任何不當行為

    6. 家長如在校內，請勿喧嘩或影響教學。

  1. 不准攜帶任何危險品、武器、或禁藥到校，違者勒令退學並依法處置。

  2. 學生若有破壞Homestead High 任何設施/設備或日新中文學校校產, 該學生的家長將承擔全部賠償責任。

CLASSROOM DISCIPLINE POLICY

    1. At the end of each day, all furniture must be replaced to its original arrangement.

    2. Show your respects to teachers, parents, classmates, and school administrators.

    3. The classrooms should be kept clean and neat.

    4. Listen and follow the teacher’s instructions. Do not use cell phone, IPOD, MP3, etc. while class is in session.

    5. The following behaviors are not permitted in the school at any time:

        • Littering

        • Gum chewing

        • Running, chasing or shouting inside the classroom or in the hallways

        • Removal of any items from the classroom

    6. Parents who stay inside the building shall stay quiet, not cause any interference to the classroom.

  1. Zero Tolerance Policy

      • No weapons

      • No illegal drugs

  2. The parent of the student will be fully responsible for any damage to school property caused by the student during school hours.

** TEACHERS SHALL REVIEW THE POLICY WITH THE STUDENTS AT THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. STUDENTS WHO VIOLATE THE DISCIPLINE POLICY ARE SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONSEQUENCES: ( Excluding item #7 )

    1. The first offense will result in a verbal warning and that student's name will go on the blackboard.

    2. If the student repeats the offense on the same day, a check mark will be put with his/her name in the record book, and the "recess" will be taken away.

    3. At the third offense, a written notice will be sent to parents. A conference may be arranged if it is necessary.

    4. School has the right to suspend the students who violate our school policy.

THE SCHOOL BELIEVES IN "POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT" BY ENFORCING GOOD BEHAVIOR, WE WILL ACHIEVE HIGH STANDARDS.
