Course Offerings

At Rainbow Chinese School, in order to meet the diverse needs of the community, we offer 3 different tracks of Chinese language classes.

正體中文課程 Traditional Chinese Classes

• Start with the use of Zhuyin (popularly known as Bopomofo, a system Used as a phonetic aid for children)

• Conducted in Mandarin and use Traditional Chinese for writing

• Available from Pre-Kindergarten to 12th Grade

簡體中文課程 Simplified Chinese Classes

• Start with the use pinyin (as a phonetic aid)

• Conducted in Mandarin and use Simplified Chinese for writing

• Classes are available from Kindergarten through 6th Grade

中文為第二語言課程 Chinese as a Second Language Classes

• Start with the use of pinyin (as a phonetic aid)

• Conducted in English and use Traditional Chinese for writing

• Available from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th Grade level
